Job summary

Travis County’s Facilities Management Department seeks a professional Financial Analyst to perform routine to moderately complex financial analysis and reporting in support of budgeting, grants, purchasing, contracts, payroll, and other accounting transactions.

Under supervision, you will prepare financial statements, reports and analyses, ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable laws, while collaborating with department staff and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field with 3 years of professional financial analysis or accounting experience; Master's may substitute for 2 years.
• Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting practices.
• Strong analytical, spreadsheet and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports and statements, supporting schedules and analyses.
• Conduct financial analysis, monitor budgets and forecast trends.
• Assist in budgeting processes and financial planning for the department.
