Job summary

Katten is a full-service law firm seeking a Financial Analyst to prepare and distribute financial reporting for the firm’s departments and offices. You will help with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analyses under the direction of the Financial Reporting & Budgeting Manager.

The role requires at least a Bachelor's in accounting/finance and strong Excel skills. Hybrid work is available, with potential on-site or remote arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Recent graduate with internship experience or one year of related financial analysis experience.
• Computer proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Analytical skills for detail, precision, and logic in accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute financial reports for legal departments, practice groups, and offices.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes with key performance metrics.
• Provide variance analyses to budget, forecast, and prior year activity.
• Support testing and development of new reports and budget software.
