Qualifications

• Experience: 1 to 2 years of professional work experience required, preferably in financial aid.

• Strong written and oral communication skills; interpret and explain university and federal policies to students and parents.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team; meet deadlines and manage shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate financial aid applications to determine need and cost of attendance; verify documentation.
• Advise applicants and families on financing options to minimize debt and support retention.
• Assist with special projects such as debt management, refunds, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Stay informed about refinancing options and liaise with agencies and organizations.
• Assist in recruitment by presenting financial aid information to prospective students and families.
