Job summary

IBA is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its US Shared Services Finance team in a hybrid role based in Herndon, Virginia. You will manage financial accounting, reporting, and close processes for Industrial Inc., ensuring accuracy and compliance with group policies and US GAAP.

The role requires 5+ years in GL accounting or audit, strong Excel skills, and ERP experience (SAP is required; S4 is a plus). You’ll collaborate with US and European teams and support audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in General Ledger accounting, financial accounting, or audit.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, IFRS/local GAAP experience is a plus.
• Experience in ERP environments; SAP is required, S4 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting and financial reporting for Industrial Inc.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and closings.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close with group deadlines.
• Prepare reconciliations and resolve items.
• Prepare sales and use tax returns and support audits.
• Collaborate with AP/AR in the US and Treasury/Tax/Controlling in Europe/Belgium.
• Support process improvements and finance transformation projects.
