Job summary

Carolina Legal Staffing seeks a Finance & Operations Manager in Charlotte, NC to provide financial leadership, oversee accounting, and manage financial reporting in a growing professional-services firm.

This hands-on role partners with firm leadership, supervises payroll and benefits, strengthens internal controls, and coordinates with outside CPAs to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Strong general accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting experience.
• Excellent Excel and accounting-system skills.
• Analytical, organized, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to take ownership and work independently in a hands-on environment.
• Prior leadership or mentoring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting, general ledger, reconciliations, cash management and financial reporting
• Manage trust accounting and banking relationships
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Analyze financial results, trends and variances to support leadership decisions
• Oversee payroll and employee benefits processes
• Maintain strong internal controls and financial procedures
• Partner with the firm's CPA and outside financial professionals
• Supervise and develop the Office & Operations Coordinator
• Improve processes, documentation, SOPs and cross-training as the organization grows
