Job summary

LHH is seeking a Finance Manager in Hamilton, NJ to act as the CFO's right hand, bridging accounting, finance, and business operations. The role emphasizes forecasting, budgeting, modeling, and business analysis rather than pure FP&A or traditional accounting.

The successful candidate will lead revenue recognition expertise, enhance forecasting processes, and drive reporting and insights for leadership. 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, FP&A, or a combination thereof.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills including modeling, pivots, lookups, and large data sets.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses.
• Ability to build models and analyses in evolving environments.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process and support long-range planning.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance revenue, profitability, and cash flow forecasts.
• Build complex financial models to support decisions and growth initiatives.
• Analyze operating results, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Perform monthly forecast updates, variance analyses, and scenario planning.
• Develop KPI reporting and executive dashboards.
• Become the organization's revenue recognition subject matter expert.
• Partner with accounting leadership to ensure proper revenue recognition and reporting.
• Evaluate contracts and revenue streams for accurate accounting.
• Support pricing analysis and profitability modeling.
• Identify opportunities to improve margins and drive financial performance.
• Collaborate with CFO and accounting for accurate results.
• Analyze financial statements, key metrics, and drivers.
• Assist with month-end reporting and executive reviews.
• Support audit-related requests and special projects.
• Translate accounting results into business insights.
