Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking a Finance Manager to join the Southern Water team based in Falmer (Brighton). The role offers hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office, focusing on financial governance for a long-term framework of projects.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, month-end reporting, and cost governance for the Southern Water framework, partnering with Project Directors and delivery teams to drive robust financial controls.

Qualifications

Qualified accountant with ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent.
Experience in finance management and project accounting in construction or infrastructure.
Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP or reporting systems.
Excellent communication with project teams and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly project financial reports including forecasts, cost reports, cashflow, and variance analysis.
Provide financial leadership to project teams for cost control and reporting.
Oversee project accounting records: income, expenditure, commitments, and accruals.
Manage month-end close: journals, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting packs.
Support payment applications, client billing, invoice management and PO controls.
