Job summary

Attivo Partners is seeking a dynamic professional to lead both accounting and business development for startup clients. The role blends deep technical accounting work with strategic, relationship-led sales to close new engagements.

Remote-friendly position with travel to events in San Francisco or New York; compensation ranges for Assistant Controller to Controller levels with base salary plus commissions, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/CFA preferred.
7+ years progressive accounting across Controller levels and month-end close.
5+ years in quota-carrying sales/business development (B2B/professional services).
Experience with venture-backed startup clients and crypto accounting tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee full-cycle client accounting for a book of business, including month-end close and reconciliations.
Prepare client financial statements with fluctuation analysis and budgets vs. actuals.
Build financial models to manage cash and guide operational decisions.
Lead the complete sales cycle for new client acquisition from discovery to close.
Coordinate handoff to onboarding and delivery teams after signed deals.
