Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent education/experience.
• 5+ years in finance, business, or related field.
• 2+ years grant administration (pre/post-award).
• Expert in Excel and Google Sheets with pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, quarterly forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Advise leadership on resource allocation, spending forecasts, strategic planning, and sustainability.
• Develop clear reports using BusinessObjects, Excel, and Google Sheets.
• Be the primary financial and administrative contact, ensuring compliance with policies and procurement.
• Partner with central offices and guide unit staff on financial and admin issues.
• Support HR activities, including appointments and recruitment tasks.
• Lead pre- and post-award grant administration, including budgets and closeout.
• Interpret sponsor, federal, state, and university regulations for compliance.
• Provide portfolio forecasting and strategic guidance across funded sources.
• Improve research administration processes for efficiency and customer service.
