Job summary

PDT Partners, a quantitative investment manager, is seeking a Finance Associate to join the FACT team. The role offers exposure to treasury, finance, tax, and reporting, with a focus on understanding the "why" behind processes and driving efficiency through data-driven improvements.

This hybrid position requires working from our New York City office at least 3 days a week. You will rotate across responsibilities, collaborate with operational and technical teams, and contribute to day-to-day

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of professional experience in Finance, Treasury, Data Science, MIS, Accounting or Tax, or related fields.
• Basic programming skills or experience with AI-assisted tools to automate and streamline workflows.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Intellectual curiosity: eager to learn about the business and understand the "why" behind processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop broad expertise by rotating across treasury, finance, fund reporting, and tax compliance.
• Support day-to-day FACT operations, e.g. cash management, margin analysis, tax estimates, compliance reporting, and counterparty management.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows by collaborating with internal operations teams and leveraging data systems and AI tools.
• Liaise with external service providers, such as prime brokers and accounting firms.
• Lead or contribute to special projects and ad-hoc analyses within the FACT team and across the firm.
