Job summary

Farmers Group Inc. is seeking a Field Property Claims Adjuster in Lubbock, TX. You will conduct investigations at policyholder residences to assess damage, determine liability, and negotiate settlements.

You will use claims software and a company vehicle to write estimates in a paperless environment, and identify subrogation opportunities. The role requires strong customer service, communication, and negotiation skills, with travel for deployments as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior general work experience with demonstrated customer service and time management skills preferred.
• Strong written/verbal communication, critical thinking and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site investigations by visiting policyholders' residences to assess property damage and negotiate fair settlements.
• Use claims handling software, a company laptop, and a vehicle to determine damages and write estimates.
• Evaluate and report on subrogation opportunities.
• Report incidents involving theft, fraud, or arson to appropriate agencies.
• Interact with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, and investigators.
