Job summary

Patriot Surveying & Infrastructure seeks a versatile Survey Data / Field Technician to support large-scale infrastructure projects across the country. The hybrid role splits time between leading on-site data collection and processing survey data in the office, advancing from field surveying to data-driven drafting.

You will work with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble tools, perform quality checks, and manage field notes and logs while balancing field travel with office duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of land surveying experience on field crews and in introductory office data processing.
• Valid driver's license with a clean MVR; pre-employment drug screen and 7-year background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support field measurement efforts using total stations, levels, and data collectors.
• Read plans and construction drawings; guide field procedures.
• Maintain detailed field notes, sketches, and logs; perform initial quality checks.
• Direct on-site field setups, ensure safety, and maintain equipment and vehicles.
