Job summary

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) in Helena is seeking a Facilities Reviewer / Supervisor to lead advanced project management, planning, and statewide facility evaluations.

This role supervises custodial and building maintenance teams, conducts inspections, and reviews plans and specifications for active facilities projects. A Bachelor's degree and 5 years in facilities management plus 2 years in supervision are required; relocation support may be offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in civil or mechanical engineering, construction technology, business management, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in facilities management, project management, building systems, or a related field.
• 2 years of supervision or team lead experience.
• Alternative combinations of related experience or education may be considered (e.g., 8 years related experience and 1 year supervisory).

Responsibilities

• Advanced project management and research for statewide facility construction and maintenance.
• Plan and provision evaluations for statewide facilities management projects.
• Manage and evaluate projects during each major phase of delivery; conduct building inspections.
• Conduct professional reviews of plans and special provisions for proposed and active facilities projects.
