Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to provide project management expertise for capital facility projects. The Facilities Project Manager supports facilities planning, design, and construction activities through effective coordination of project scope, schedules, budgets, stakeholders, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience leading complex construction projects in healthcare, education, or commercial environments.
• Experience as an Owner’s Representative and strong budgeting, scheduling, and contract management.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders, communicate effectively, and work in fast-paced, collaborative settings.
• Experience coordinating with designers, contractors, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope, budgets, schedule, and contract compliance.
• Ensure projects meet deadlines and quality standards within approved budgets.
• Coordinate project teams including customers, GCs, CM, consultants, and facilities groups.
• Facilitate productive project activities through clear written and verbal communication.
• Coordinate stakeholders to ensure successful project completion throughout the lifecycle.
• Independently manage less complex capital facility projects and assist with complex major ones.
• Demonstrate project integration and coordination across multiple disciplines.
• Manage change control processes and documentation.
