The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Senior Facilities Project Manager to lead design and construction of complex healthcare facilities at the Texas Medical Center. This role requires coordinating with clinical and research teams while ensuring infection control and patient safety throughout projects.

You will manage budgets, timelines, and contractor oversight, delivering multiple projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Five years of project/construction management experience.
• Healthcare design and pre-construction experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating with clinical and research teams and managing budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Own design phase delivery from design contract baseline to document issuance.
• Validate scope, services, budget, and schedule before design contract is set.
• Manage scope, budget, schedule, and contract compliance to meet quality standards.
• Review design decisions for fit with program, codes, life safety, and budget.
• Consider infection control, patient safety, and continuity of operations in design reviews.
• Lead project team through clear communication and decision logs.
• Coordinate approvals with governance bodies and state agencies.
• Identify and manage risks during design and drive resolutions.
