Job summary

Lake Washington Schools Foundation in Redmond, WA seeks a mission-driven Executive Director to lead fundraising, strategy, and operations. This role partners with LWSD, builds community support, and strengthens relationships with donors, businesses, and educators to advance students’ opportunities.

The ideal candidate will combine vision with hands-on leadership, steward a growing donor base, manage staff and budgets, and champion transparent, impact‑driven philanthropy across the Eastside.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated track record in securing and growing philanthropic revenue.
• Ability to lead people, manage budgets, and optimize resources.
• Strong strategic thinking with execution skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, public speaking.
• Track record of building and sustaining stakeholder partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive a comprehensive fundraising strategy across programs, events, grants, and sponsorships.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors and corporate partners.
• Build a culture of philanthropy and engage trustees as fundraising partners.
• Strengthen donor acquisition, retention, and communications.
• Diversify and expand sustainable revenue for long-term growth.
