Job summary

EAB in Washington, DC is seeking a Manager, Events to lead strategy and execution for 100+ in-person events annually, including large conferences and executive roundtables, with hybrid components where needed. The role partners with marketing, content and operations to deliver high-quality experiences, manage budgets, timelines, and onsite logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years managing large-scale in-person events (500+ attendees).
• Strong logistics management experience (catering, AV, production, hotel blocks, vendor coordination).
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Willing to travel up to 40% domestically to conferences and EAB events.
• Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of complex hybrid events.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and production documents.
• Oversee all logistical aspects of events (catering, AV, vendors, room blocks).
• Review and approve event documentation (BEOs, venue contracts).
• Manage hotel room blocks, speaker travel, and attendee accommodations.
• Coordinate attendee communications with marketing and content teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth parallel workstreams.
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors and ensure high-quality service.
