Job summary

New York Road Runners (NYRR) seeks an experienced events professional to lead and produce NYRR events, including major races. You will manage budgets, timelines, permits, logistics, run of shows and scripts, and coordinate with internal teams and city agencies.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder communication, and ability to mentor staff. This position operates in a hybrid office setting in midtown Manhattan, with weekend/evening event responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of event project management experience in sports/entertainment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong logistical/operational and customer service background.
• Run of Show, scripting and stage management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the project life cycle for NYRR events, including budgeting, site planning, permits, timelines, logistics, run of shows and scripts.
• Sponsor activation planning and runner engagement activities; post-event reconciliation and reporting.
• Collaborate with multiple internal teams and external City Agencies to ensure seamless event operations.
