Job summary

The National Apartment Association (NAA) seeks a Specialist, Business Development in Arlington, VA to provide customer service, sales support, and administrative assistance for exhibit and sponsorship programs. You will be a primary contact for exhibitors and sponsors, helping with logistics, onboarding, and communications to ensure a positive event experience.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, relationship-oriented, and capable of growing exhibit and sponsorship opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in customer service, sales support, business development, or account coordination.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service support for exhibitors via email and phone.
• Assist exhibitors with show logistics, deadlines, policies and resources.
• Support exhibitor account management, including invoice follow-up and payments.
• Assist Senior Sales Account Manager with exhibit space sales, onboarding, and communications.
• Cross-sell advertising, partnership and sponsorship opportunities to exhibitors.
• Build and maintain relationships with exhibitors, sponsors, and industry suppliers.
• Provide onsite support for exhibitors and sponsors during events.
• Maintain accurate sales records, pipeline activity, and prospect information.
