Job summary

T. Rowe Price is seeking an ETF Analyst to support pre- and post-trade analyses for PM activity within ETFs, with strong emphasis on ETF mechanics, tax lots, and data-driven optimization.

The role requires quantitative and data engineering skills, programming in R and another language, plus familiarity with CI/CD tools like Docker and GitLab. The analyst collaborates with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Tax teams, and other stakeholders to enhance after-tax outcomes, reduce costs, and scale ETF

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 5+ years of total relevant work experience.
• Experience extracting, transforming, and manipulating data, with a strong understanding of APIs (REST, SOAP), relational databases, JSON, XML.
• Programming experience in R and another language (Python, C/C++).
• Ability to communicate ideas effectively and solve problems creatively.
• Comprehensive understanding of ETFs and tax lot optimization.

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis and Insight Communication: Analyze PM trade ideas for optimal ETF implementation methods and synthesize data to refine strategies.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Advise on ETF data governance and roadmap; participate in industry events; maintain SME through professional bodies.
• Communication and Spokesperson: Communicate ETF data plan and roadmap; create clear communications and presentations for internal/external clients; share knowledge across the platform.
• Growth in Role: ETF Data Strategy and Governance; grow to ownership of ETF Data governance; partner with Technology; drive data strategy for platform growth.
