Job summary

Akin, in partnership with ESIT, seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to develop and scale an early intervention program for ages 0-3. The SLP will provide evaluative, therapeutic, and consultative services to children with speech, language, feeding, cognitive, or hearing needs, collaborating closely with families to shape individualized plans.

The role emphasizes equity, collaboration with the EI team, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and WA state licensure.
• Experience with children ages 0-3.
• Experience with diverse populations and cultures.
• Must pass a portable background check and TB test; CPR/First Aid/AED current.
• Driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, assesses, and provides speech therapy to children ages 0-3.
• Collaborates on IFSPs with the Early Intervention team and families.
• Maintains documentation and ensures compliance with policy.
• Delivers direct, indirect, or consultative services for communication disorders.
• Communicates with insurers, school districts, and external resources.
• Engages and trains parents in sessions and supports child goals.
