The CDC Foundation seeks a General Epidemiologist to coordinate Hemodialysis NHSN activities for the Nevada DPBH HAI program. You will analyze NHSN data, identify facilities, and support training and reporting efforts to prevent healthcare-associated infections.

Your role includes outbreak investigations, stakeholder coordination with CMS ESRD Network, and enhancing infection prevention across outpatient dialysis settings. Travel within Nevada may be required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in health science, nursing or related field with two years of public health experience.
• Experience using CDC’s NHSN as an administrator.
• Two-year minimum experience with hemodialysis facilities or related care.

Responsabilidades

• Use NHSN data and other facility data to identify outpatient hemodialysis facilities for Infection Prevention Assessments.
• Conduct statewide surveillance and analysis of NHSN data to monitor trends and outbreaks.
• Assist facilities with NHSN enrollment and required reporting.
• Support outbreak investigations within state facilities and other program duties as needed.
• Establish relationships with CMS ESRD Network partners for coordination.
• Improve infection prevention capacity in outpatient dialysis facilities through education and surveillance.
• Participate in CDC’s MDS for Patients Coalition.
• Analyze locations of dialysis services, including home dialysis settings.
• Join the outbreak team to manage facility outbreaks; travel within Nevada may be required.
