Job summary

Weston & Sampson in Rocky Hill, CT, is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Geologist with 0–3 years of experience to join the EGE discipline in a hybrid office/field setting. The role involves conducting environmental site assessments and field sampling with opportunities to contribute to reports and data analysis.

The position requires a 40-hour HAZWOPER training, a bachelor’s degree in environmental science or geology, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, or a related field.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and annual refresher.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for field work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Phase I/II/III environmental site assessments per RBCR guidelines.
• Oversee drilling, soil borings, monitoring wells, and remedial activities.
• Collect samples for field screening and lab analysis.
• Manage analytical data and QA/QC reviews.
• Assist with work plans and technical reports.
• Support other disciplines as needed (stormwater sampling, inspections).
