VHB is seeking an Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Hydrogeologist with 3+ years of experience to join our National SI&R practice. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with offices in New York City, Boston, Montpelier, or South Portland.

You will contribute to site investigation, data analysis, and remediation efforts across multiple jurisdictions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver technically sound solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field is required; Master’s preferred.
• 3+ years of professional experience in environmental site investigation, characterization, and/or remediation is required.
• OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER training and annual refresher training required.
• FE/GE/PG licensure preferred (PE/Geologist)

Responsabilidades

• Support project managers in evaluating environmental conditions and addressing site investigation/remediation needs.
• Plan and conduct field activities including soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling, drilling oversight, and monitoring well installation with guidance.
• Coordinate field tasks with subcontractors and project logistics under health and safety requirements.
• Compile, evaluate, and interpret environmental data to support site models and project recommendations.
• Use data management and visualization tools to organize findings and communicate results.
• Contribute to Phase I/II ESAs, RI/FS, remedial planning, and long-term monitoring programs.
• Prepare technical reports and memoranda for review by senior staff.
• Track tasks against project schedules and budgets; communicate progress and issues to PM.
• Mentor and support less-experienced team members during field activities.
