Job summary

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. (VHB) is seeking an Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Hydrogeologist with 3+ years of experience to join our National SI&R practice, with a hybrid role based in Boston or other NE offices.

You will support site investigation and remediation projects across the United States, coordinating field activities, data collection, and regulatory engagement, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional environmental site investigation/remediation experience.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training with refresher.
• FE/Geology licensure or PE/PG licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers in evaluating environmental conditions and site needs.
• Plan and conduct site investigations and remediation field activities.
• Coordinate field tasks with subcontractors and ensure safety compliance.
• Compile and interpret environmental data to support site models and recommendations.
• Use data tools to organize findings and communicate results.
• Contribute to Phase I/II ESAs, RI, FS, ROD, and long-term monitoring programs.
• Prepare technical reports and field documentation for review.
• Track tasks against schedules and budgets; raise issues with PM.
• Mentor less-experienced teammates during field activities.
