Job summary

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Environmental Engineer/Scientist in Oak Brook, IL, with 1–2 years of consulting experience to support due diligence, site investigation, remediation, and permitting activities. You will work with a team of professionals and gain hands-on field exposure.

You will perform field sampling, document data, and assist in regulatory compliance projects while growing your technical skills and contributing to a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field (Master’s Degree a plus)
• 1–2 years of related environmental engineering experience
• Strong attention to detail with analytical capabilities
• Ability to work under supervision and in teams
• Strong communication, problem solving, and organization skills

Responsibilities

• Perform extensive fieldwork including soil/groundwater/soil vapor sampling and well installations
• Prepare detailed field documentation and data analysis
• Assist on regulatory compliance and permitting projects
• Collaborate with field teams, project managers, and principals
• Support multiple practices including Water Quality and Geotechnical in Oak Brook and Chicago offices
