Job summary

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Environmental Engineer/Scientist in Oak Brook, IL. You will join a fast-paced team performing fieldwork, sampling, and documentation while supporting due diligence, site investigations, and regulatory permitting.

Ideal candidates hold a 1–2 year background in environmental consulting, with strong analytical and communication skills. A Bachelor's in a related field is required and a Master’s is a plus; hybrid schedule offered with mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field required.
• 1–2 years of consulting experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to travel locally and regionally.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and FE/EIT a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental due diligence, site investigation and remediation.
• Perform fieldwork and collect soil/groundwater samples.
• Prepare detailed field documentation and data analysis.
• Collaborate with project teams including PMs and Principals.
• Assist with regulatory compliance and permitting projects.
