Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Entry Level Structural Tunnel Engineer in Boston or New York Metro Area. You will assist the tunnel team on planning, design, and construction of underground structures across the US, gaining exposure to CAD/BIM tools, field work, and project coordination.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and growth within a Northeast tunnel group. The successful candidate has a Master’s in structural engineering, is eligible to work in the US, and will operate in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Master's degree in structural engineering.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Hybrid position with minimum 2 days in Jacobs' office in the US.
• Proficient in structural analysis and design software such as SAP2000, STAAD, spColumn and CAD/BIM tools.
• Familiar with ACI-318; AASHTO LRFD; ASCE 7; AWS D1.1 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports engineers on tunnel projects.
• Performs calculations for excavation support, linings, and shoring.
• Prepares design drawings and specifications.
• Prepares technical reports and presentations.
• Reviews contractor submittals and monitors construction.
• Conducts field investigations as needed.
