AMT in Towson, MD is seeking an entry level Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation team of design professionals in our Towson, MD office. Position will start in May 2027 upon graduation.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Engineering-in-Training Certification (or ability to obtain in 6-12 months) required.
• Prior internship or work experience preferred; Municipal/State DOT projects a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D and/or Bentley Microstation/InRoads or Open Roads preferred.
• Knowledge of civil engineering design and construction surveying concepts preferred.
• Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support projects involving data collection, existing conditions and alternative analysis for reports.
• Development of horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-section and super-elevation design, roadway modeling, development of transportation infrastructure plans, computing quantity takeoffs.
