Canopius is seeking an entry-level Finance associate in Chicago to support monthly close, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and statutory reporting. Role involves coordinating with NY operations and UK parent team, with room to grow as experience increases.

You will assist with bank reconciliations, intercompany payables/receivables, and group ledger submissions in a hybrid work environment. The position offers a base salary with benefits and growth potential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting monthly close processes and reconciliations in a finance environment.
• Understanding of intercompany transactions and settlements.
• Familiarity with statutory reporting and group ledger submissions.

Responsibilities

• Reconciling various bank accounts each month
• Maintaining entries and reconciliations for intercompany payables/receivables
• Assisting preparation of annual and quarterly statutory financial statements
• Preparation of entries and wire requests for monthly settlements
• Support group ledger submissions coordinated by UK parent team
