Job summary

Albert M. Higley Co. is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer in Akron, OH. The role exposes you to office and field rotations across operations, safety, project controls, estimating, and business development over 3–5 years, guiding you toward a defined career path within the firm.

The PE reports to multiple leaders, often rotating between office and field locations as projects require. ESOP culture offers broad ownership potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or construction-related field.
• 1-2 years in engineering or construction management is a plus.
• EIT certification is a plus.
• Co-op rotations or similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Reads construction drawings and documents and understands industry terminology.
• Manages RFI’s, Submittals, drawing coordination and project communications.
• Supports safety on the job site and field coordination.
• Assists the PM with change management.
• Assists superintendent with subcontractor management.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or construction-related degree

EIT certification
