Job summary

Colonial Group in Pittsburgh is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to support project operations, safety, and construction controls. You will work with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to help deliver quality projects.

This evergreen role provides hands-on experience across drawings, RFIs, submittals, and field coordination while developing communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or relevant experience.
• 1–2 years in engineering, construction management, or a related field is a benefit.
• EIT certification is a plus.
• Co-op work rotations or similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Understands how to read construction drawings and documents and general industry terminology.
• Manages RFI’s, Submittals, drawing coordination, and project correspondence.
• Assists PM with change management and field coordination with subcontractors.
• Supports maintaining a safe and secure job site.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
