Job summary

VAA in Minneapolis is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team on diverse projects. You’ll contribute to design work, calculations and field observations while developing technical and professional skills.

Graduating in December 2026 or May 2027, you’ll work with experienced engineers and designers, gain mentorship, and participate in development opportunities in a collaborative, inclusive environment with a hybrid work option.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Graduating in December 2026 or May 2027, or recently graduated.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Interest in working collaboratively on multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop design solutions using engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications and other design documents.
• Learn and apply design codes and industry standards.
• Build your skills using industry design software.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and other VAA disciplines.
• Visit construction sites, observe work in the field and see your designs come to life.
