Job summary

University of Alaska CNSM is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support the financial backbone of our academic programs. This entry-level role will produce accurate reports, reconcile accounts, and assist faculty and staff with fiscal questions related to teaching and research activities.

You’ll run queries, prepare journal vouchers, track budgets, and provide information that supports CNSM’s day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• One year of college coursework in Accounting or related fields.
• Two years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate reports and reconcile accounts.
• Assist faculty and staff with fiscal questions related to teaching and research activities.
• Run queries and prepare journal vouchers; track budgets.
• Provide information that supports CNSM’s day-to-day operations and help with purchasing as needed.
