Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Architect to translate technology strategy into enterprise architecture and standards. You will set planning, reviews, and release practices across engineering, advising leadership on sequencing, capacity, and risk.

This internal-facing, hands-on role focuses on turning direction into a buildable architecture, addressing platform transformation across identity, finance, and warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering, systems engineering, or solution architecture.
• 5+ years explicitly accountable for architecture spanning multiple systems or teams.
• Ownership of a target-state architecture and its adoption.
• Deep systems integration experience: API design, interface contracts, event patterns, and failure modes.
• Ownership of CI/CD, release practice, and change management across multiple teams.
• Production experience architecting on a major cloud platform (Azure preferred).

Responsibilities

• Rationalize target-state architecture across infrastructure, applications, integration, and data.
• Document platform selection and exit criteria with total cost, security, and fit.
• Define integration patterns and interface contracts between systems.
• Maintain architecture decision records and rationale for future engineers.
• Own development, deployment, and lifecycle standards across engineering families.
• Chair change review and manage release sequencing and risk across teams.
• Own post-incident review and feed learnings into standards.
• Develop documentation and enablement for engineering teams.
