Job summary

Collins Aerospace in the United States is hiring an Enterprise Data Modeler / Data Architect to lead the enterprise common data model across conceptual, logical, and physical layers. You will define standards, resolve semantic conflicts, and ensure interoperability across ERP, PLM, MES, MRO, IoT, analytics, and AI platforms.

The role requires strong SQL, SPARQL, Cypher skills, experience with Snowflake, and proficiency with ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, Hackolade.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Experience with Snowflake and data modeling, architecture, and ontology/knowledge graph development.
• Proficiency in conceptual, logical, and physical modeling and canonical data design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise common data model across conceptual, logical, and physical layers.
• Define and enforce modeling standards, metadata conventions, and canonical entities.
• Resolve semantic and definitional conflicts across business units and systems.
• Improve interoperability across ERP, PLM, MES, MRO, IoT, analytics, and AI platforms.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise, regulatory, and security requirements.
• Mentor data modelers and architects to improve modeling maturity; collaborate with engineers and SMEs; communicate strategy to executives.
