Job summary

Brookings Institution is seeking a Systems Analyst, Enterprise Applications to bridge business needs and technology across Brookings’ enterprise platforms. You will design, build, and maintain integrations between Workday, Salesforce, and other systems, while delivering dashboards and automation.

The role emphasizes hands-on delivery, collaboration with stakeholders, and continuous improvement in a hybrid Washington, DC setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in information systems, CS, or related field or equivalent experience
• 0-5 years in IT implementation, software consulting, software development, or integration
• Strong technical aptitude evidenced by a work product or live demo
• Curiosity to grow from delivery to enterprise systems analysis
• Understanding of APIs REST/SOAP and data formats (JSON/XML) plus good troubleshooting and documentation skills
• Preferred exposure to middleware tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato); experience with Workday/Salesforce/Oracle Cloud is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain integrations between Brookings enterprise systems using APIs and integration platforms
• Troubleshoot integration errors, data-sync issues, and automation failures; escalate as needed
• Document API endpoints, data mappings, and error-handling logic for integrations
• Partner with teams, vendors, and partners on configuration, development, and deployment of integrations
• Build reports, dashboards, and automation to improve data reliability across systems
• Perform configuration, QA, regression, and UAT for integration changes
• Research and pilot new integration patterns and AI-enabled capabilities with small proofs-of-concept
• Collaborate on enterprise systems analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design
• Support governance, roadmaps, and project backlogs for enterprise applications
• Stay current with enterprise tech trends and contribute to continuous improvement
