Job summary

ICF is offering a 2027 Summer Internship in Research & Analysis with hybrid options in Reston, VA or New York, NY. The 10-week program provides hands-on experience in market research, data analysis, and visualization across energy programs, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality products and services.

Undergraduate interns earn $23/hour and graduate interns $28/hour, with the role emphasizing project management, communication, and teamwork and exposure to energy

Qualifications

• At least 30 completed college-level credit hours and actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Energy, Sustainability, Engineering, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, Public Policy, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Marketing, or related field.
• Candidate must be a US citizen, reside in the U.S., and be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with domain leads and teams across multiple disciplines to support ongoing tasks and ad-hoc needs.
• Support research and analysis on utility programs, emerging energy technologies, DERs, VPPs, electrification, and related areas.
• Develop dashboards, presentations, and visualizations that support business strategy and client delivery.
• Support product development and commercialization initiatives for innovative energy solutions.
• Assist with business development activities, proposal support, and strategic planning efforts.
• Synthesize complex information into concise summaries and recommendations.
