Job summary

Lower Colorado River Authority is seeking a Supervisor, EMS and Advanced Applications to guide a team that develops and maintains critical Energy Management System (EMS) tools and applications. These systems support dispatching, monitoring, and controlling LCRA's assets in the ERCOT electrical market.

Qualifications

  • Nine or more years of experience in analysis, configuration and technical support of energy management systems, SCADA, automatic generation controls (AGC) or Windows-based servers or other relevant experience, including at least three years of experience with energy management systems.
  • A degree(s) in engineering, computer science, math, business or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineers and technical staff responsible for software and advanced applications in EMS/SCADA environments.
  • Develop strategic/operating plans, goals, and procedures aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Serve as SME and POC with EMS and AVEVA PI vendors; implement upgrades and features.
  • Collaborate with Technical & Engineering to automate processes and develop in-house tools.
  • Coordinate 24/7 on-call support to ensure high availability of critical control room applications.
