Job summary

Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan LLP, a leading employment litigation defense firm, seeks an Employment Litigation Associate in Stamford, CT. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of employment litigation experience and is ready to work with for-profit and not-for-profit clients across multiple jurisdictions.

This attorney will draft pleadings, handle discovery, advise clients, and participate in all stages of litigation from inception to trial.

Qualifications

• Admission to practice in Connecticut.
• Admission to practice in New York preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in employment litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop litigation strategy with senior litigators for defense of employment actions.
• Draft and review pleadings, discovery, memos, briefs and other litigation documents.
• Analyze employment records and interact with clients.
• Represent clients in court and before agencies.
• Participate in depositions, conferences, hearings and trials.
• Collaborate with employment experts and research staff.
