New York Life Insurance Co. is seeking an Associate General Counsel for the Employment Law team to provide counsel to HR and business units. The role focuses on advising on hiring, performance, terminations, leaves, investigations, wage/hour, and immigration matters.

You will draft policies, manage outside counsel on disputes, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting strategic business objectives with strong written and oral communication skills.

Qualificações

• JD required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• At least four years of related experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal advice and counseling on employment-related issues (hiring, performance, terminations, leaves, wage/hour, investigations, immigration).
• Draft, develop, and implement workplace policies with HR and other functions.
• Manage outside counsel on employment disputes.
• Draft statements to EEOC and other agencies.
• Represent the company before administrative agencies.
• Monitor employment legislation for compliance.
• Draft employment, severance, and related agreements.
• Evaluate visa eligibility and prepare visa petitions.
