Job summary

The Employment Development Department in San Diego County is seeking an Employment Development Specialist I to join our team. This permanent, full-time role offers a hybrid telework option and a standard 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule, Monday through Friday.

The EDS I performs analytic, administrative, and technical functions within Unemployment Insurance operations, delivering timely reports and workload management.

Qualifications

• Must have current list or transfer eligibility to apply for full time permanent term.
• Non-list candidates may apply for Training and Development term.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytic, administrative, and technical functions critical to Unemployment Insurance operations.
• Research, study and analyze data, produce results/reports and propose resolutions based on workload trends.
• Assist management in planning and distributing workload using the UI Scheduling System and other distribution methods.
• Travel and/or overtime may be required.
