Job summary

Lam Research is seeking an Embedded HW/FW Engineer 2 in Tualatin, OR. You will design and integrate hardware and firmware, define system specifications, and validate complex embedded systems for wafer fabrication equipment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, reliability, and manufacturability while documenting technical designs and test results. On-site Flex work model may apply.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with embedded components and peripherals (MCU, FPGA, CPLD, ADC, DAC).
• Understanding of analog/digital circuit design, power management and signal integrity.
• Knowledge of communication protocols: SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect embedded HW/FW systems from concept to production.
• Define system specifications and integrate hardware and firmware.
• Conduct hardware bring-up, validation, and testing.
• Develop and execute system-level validation tests to ensure performance.
• Document design specifications and test reports.
