Job summary

Canon Medical Research USA, Inc. (CMRU) seeks a Software Engineer to join our High Performance Computing team, developing image-processing software for large medical devices from requirements through production.

You will work through the full software lifecycle, analyzing requirements, designing solutions, implementing and unit-testing code, and documenting work for a regulated medical device environment.

Qualifications

• Academic background in math is required; linear algebra and numerical methods coursework or project work.
• Entry-level: 0–2 years of professional experience; new grads welcome.
• Strong fundamentals in C/C++ and parallel programming; familiarity with GPUs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze software requirements and design solutions using industry best practices.
• Implement software in C/C++ and design unit tests.
• Contribute to image reconstruction and algorithm implementation with performance focus.
• Coordinate with vendors and help create software requirements and specifications.
• Support corporate IP development.
