Job summary

rinf.tech is seeking an embedded software engineer for a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier project in Detroit. You will develop, test, and document embedded software for an ARM-based cockpit SoC running Android and embedded Linux, and take ownership from vehicle interface to HMI.

Join a global team split between Detroit and offshore centers, reviewing code, and growing into integration and local support as we approach launch.

Qualifications

3+ years in automotive embedded software.
Experience in embedded Linux and Android.
Experience with in-vehicle networks (CAN, Ethernet).
Ability to turn requirements into design docs and code.
Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and document embedded software for an ARM-based cockpit SoC running Android and embedded Linux.
Take ownership of development tasks across end-to-end program scope, from vehicle interface through HMI.
Collaborate with a global team across Detroit and offshore delivery centers.
Review code and unit tests, support peer reviews and design discussions.
Grow into integration, triage, and local technical support as the program moves toward launch.
Work across software, hardware, systems, and quality teams in an ASPICE-driven process.
