Job summary

Rinf is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer with 3+ years in automotive electronics/software to design, implement, and document embedded solutions. You will decompose requirements into actionable tasks, estimate effort, and collaborate across software, hardware, and QA teams.

The role includes occasional mentoring, code reviews, and high-level design support. Knowledge of AUTOSAR, CAN, Ethernet, LVDS, and ISO 26262 is valuable.

Qualifications

  • +3 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in electronics/software.
  • +3 years’ experience programming with C or C++ or minimum of 3 years of experience as Software Engineer
  • Decomposition of business requirements into functional specifications, design documentation, and use cases
  • Experience with AI assisted development and code generation (Codex, Claude Code, etc)
  • Familiar with state-of-the-art techniques for the development of embedded systems
  • Familiarity with automotive safety and cybersecurity requirements (ISO 26262, ISO 21434, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the development and integration of In-Vehicle communication bus protocols (AUTOSAR, CAN, Ethernet, LVDS, etc.), software, and related tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, CANdela, etc)
  • Experience working in an ASPICE or similarly structured automotive development process.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort working in a multicultural team.
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering discipline (Master's Degree is preferred)
  • Consistent participation in on-going career development education, either through advanced degree programs or certification programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide product definition and high-level design support for team software products and efforts
  • Decompose high level business requirements into component business requirements for inclusion in development efforts
  • Foster teamwork among engineering disciplines of software, hardware, mechanical, and quality assurance groups
  • Travel to customer engineering centers and minimal travel overseas for collaboration and training.
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Client's Code of Ethics and Code of Management

What you'll do
