Job summary

AECOM's Water Business Line in Denver, CO seeks a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join multidisciplinary teams delivering water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and conveyance systems.

You will support power, controls, and instrumentation design from concept through construction to ensure reliable and resilient water infrastructure for communities.

This role offers a hybrid work schedule in Denver with opportunities for professional growth and collaboration with experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience.
• US Citizenship required.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical design documents and technical specifications for projects that include power distribution, motor control systems, emergency power, and lighting systems.
• Draft and edit technical specifications, basis-of-design reports, calculations, and engineer’s estimates of probable construction costs.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, structural, process, instrumentation and construction management teams.
• Participate in quality reviews, submittal/RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, and field activities such as site assessments, factory acceptance tests, and commissioning support.
• Maintain strong project documentation, schedule awareness, and effective communication with internal stakeholders.
• Work with local and national Electrical and Instrumentation & Controls experts.
