Job summary

AECOM's Water Business Line in Denver, CO, seeks a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to contribute to multidisciplinary teams delivering water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and conveyance systems. You will support power distribution, controls, and instrumentation from concept through construction to ensure reliable, resilient water infrastructure.

This role requires collaboration with local and national Electrical and Instrumentation & Controls experts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience in power distribution or equivalent.
US Citizenship is required due to the nature of work.
Valid U.S. Driver's License to visit sites and offices.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical design documents and technical specifications for power distribution, motor control, emergency power, and lighting.
Perform short-circuit, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies under supervision.
Draft and edit specifications, basis-of-design reports, calculations, and cost estimates.
Coordinate with civil, mechanical, structural, process, instrumentation, and construction teams.
Participate in quality reviews, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and field activities including commissioning.
Maintain project documentation, schedule awareness, and effective stakeholder communication.
