Job summary

GHD is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Orlando to join our Engineering Design Organization. The role focuses on electrical power generation, distribution, and utilization systems across diverse projects.

The position supports a hybrid work model with in-office collaboration three days per week. Ideal candidates have EIT or progress toward it and up to 2 years of design experience in electrical systems. NFPA70 familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Up to 2 years of experience in design of electrical power systems.
• Familiarity with NFPA70 (NEC) and other electrical codes is preferred.
• Experience with power studies and short-circuit & protection analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Creation and presentation of power studies.
• Detailed design of electrical power systems.
• Preparation of electrical equipment procurement specifications.
• Preparation of electrical construction documents.
