Job summary

RCT Systems, Power Systems Division, in Baltimore, MD, seeks Electrical Engineers with focus on power electronics hardware and control design or high/medium voltage power systems. Entry- to junior-level candidates are encouraged to apply with letters addressing gaps in knowledge.

Responsibilities include designing and testing SiC/GaN-based converters, developing digital control algorithms, and CHIL/PHIL test setups. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance are required.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical engineering or related field required or graduate work acceptable in lieu of some experience.
• Experience in power electronics hardware/design is preferred but not required for entry level applicants.
• Citizenship status must be indicated; ability to obtain DoD security clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design and test WBG-based power electronic converter topologies (SiC/GaN).
• Develop digital control algorithms for power converters.
• Create and implement CHIL/PHIL test setups for validation.
• Design and test systems with 1.2 kV to 10 kV power levels.
• Lead cross-functional teams on power conversion projects.
